Stop ripping on the rolex. In all honesty, most of us would treat the omega in the same way.
In fact, pick any of the fancy divers on here and they'd all be treated that way.
If I was to go driving, and had to be my auto, I'd take my steinhart. But, as schooled by @aroogah, I wouldn't take any... I'd take a proper dive computer.
Even just paddling, or in a Pool, I'd leave most alone.
@ejay2 won't take his pride omegas near water.
He says others would. But when you pay £15k for a watch, unless you're a baller, you'd avoid. They're ballers!

Hell... Let's put money where your mouth is...
Friday shot of your watch, your pride and joy, in water. Friday tomorrow,so here's a chance to show your beloved wet.

I like steel watches on bracelets. A good bracelet adds a lot for me. But yes, it’s available on a rubber strap as well or easily swapped to leather or a nato or whatever.

eh? you wouldn't take any watch?! I dive with both a watch and a computer... Already have the watch and carry tables sooo

From all the micro brand „quality watch” adverts I’ve seen, this is possibly the most hideous one. And they are all horrible.

I most recently wore a Steinhart when diving as a back up to my dive computer. There is a pic a few pages back.
Why the fuck do prople pay so much for a tool watch, puposely made to tool spec, and then not use them for their intended purpose when presented with the opportunity to do so? If I had a more expensive dive watch I would have used it. For huge £££ it'd better be more watertight than a whale's arsehole at the same depth.
Besides, it's probably less likely to get marked diving than it is in everyday use behind a desk anyway.

I do not like the gash geared wank festival watch. Dov I hope you can sue Google for the emotional abuse. It looks like something targeted to the venn diagram intersection of people with Cafe Racer motorcycle wall papers on their MacBook Pros and Ed Hardy afficionados.

haha yeah it's weird... I don't have a Rolex, but I do dive with a dive watch. Sure it's not thousands, if I had a Rolex dive watch, I'd def use it!

Upon further sobriety and reflection it is worth pointing out that technically the first group is a subset of the other.

who on here wore their steinhart swimming and fucked it?

@NurseHolliday although IIRC it was a seal on the crown.

Also - I am super pleased with this. It's not heavy or bulky and is really well proportioned. There is a deep click when using the chrono pushers which is unexpected, but otherwise fine. I am using the chrono feature to time my random forest models today. It is a back up to
end_time <- Sys.time()

Magrette dive watch today, no open water available so submerged it in tea - no leaks, nice and warm when I put it back on, no aftertastes in tea.
