I know exactly what you mean. Remember Patch and bully black cat from upstairs I occasionally mentioned here? Nothing worked but I managed to get the bully cat to a point where when he saw me in the garden with a particular stick, he’d run a mile. So I ended up doing it a lot. But then I had no idea what happened during the day...
It is annoying but there is much us humans can do... ☹️
