I like this even without the R34 front end!
Same v6 as the 350z and murano, they sound wicked with a nice exhaust!

There's a lot to be said for getting a cheap in between car. I used to do this when I had more time, to buy myself time to choose the right thing & to save on losing out through part exchange. Always seemed more enjoyable searching for a sub £1000 car, loads about, less pressure to find the perfect vehicle and knowing that what you bought would basically have zero depreciation. Also fun to try something different. Had £60 Escort, £100 Fiesta, £400 Punto, £800 Puma and a bunch of others I can't remember now.

Bespoke are selling a slightly less subtle 530 of similar vintage in 'techno violet' at the moment too.

Internets say the 6cyl models feel nicer to drive as they have a better steering rack. They had to use a different design for the v8's that made them feel a little more numb.
Wouldn't put me off an m5 though...
Pains me to say I sold a very clean 520i msport in need of a bit of engine attention (gaskets to stop leaks) for £600 in 2016. I just needed it gone as I had the clio on order. Wish I had kept it now. Wasn't as slow as you'd expect for a 2.2 i6, but it was so lovely to drive...

Beaut.
There is something to be said for buying a nugget - We bought a mechanically good but slightly “patinated” nugget of an Impreza wagon as our first car when we moved to NZ, purely for the reason we couldn’t find anything we liked and we desperately needed a car.
