Should be fine, but maybe contact to double check if you're concerned.
My understanding is that if it passes whatever EURO[X] they use it should be fine. There are plenty of cars out there from as early as 2002 that are compliant.
edit:
Cars: Any diesel not conforming to Euro 6 emission standards and any petrol not conforming to Euro 4 emission standards.
