  • I have been a bit worried about the fuel consumption on our Subaru since we got it, but I think it’s just getting used to KML from MPG in the UK.

After doing some maths after running to the airport tonight roughly 12L of 98RON to 150km which appears to be 35mpg which I don’t think is bad for a 4wd, 16yr old 2.0 petrol car

  • I get around 11l/100km in the 911 (which can’t display fuel economy any other way).

  • Sounds suspiciously good for a Subaru... even if it is na.

  • Dale looks great! I must get down to Melbz for a visit soon...

Assessors are giving me $4k for the shitbox, I think that's quite generous considering I've trashed it in the last year... Now if the dickhead that ran into us ponys up another $4k I can chuck another two in and we'll have a decent little budget for something fun...

I've always liked Civics but I'm thinking Mazda5 or Legacy... Or just go mental and get a HiLux... Work is doing my nut in at the moment so not sure how long I'll be there, don't think I can splurge on a big car loan...

    Flytipping?

  • Couldn’t find a nice lay-by on the way to the tip so did it properly.

  • It still bugs me out now. That isn't bad though. I average that out of my basic 2 year old, 2wd Hyundai (don't laugh)

  • Good times. Not entirely sure how it happened, but while the missus was opening our gate, having left the car door open, it rolled down the hill until stopped by a brick wall. Possibly she had left it in gear and the dog knocked it out. No idea why no handbrake on. Front door took the force and is pretty much destroyed.

  • I could of course have totally fudged the maths

  • Ute

    100%/. Go full bogan.

  • visited by the flat battery fairy which is a pile of poo. what size socket wrench to remove cable nuts? 10mm? is it standard?

who puts a battery under a fucking seat!?

in other news - half price everything at https://www.eurocarparts.com/ with "bf19"

  • Pics or... Sorry to hear this, Ru...

I had my first experience with legal drinking and driving yesterday, three standard drinks in three hours before taking to the wheel... I didn't like it, not sure I would do it again...

  • Reminds me a bit of when my sometimes better half turned in too sharply whilst an electric gate was still opening and dragged it all down the side of our one week old car.

I went "fuuuuck". She went "WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?!"

  • So nice... Plz stahp... 😭

  • No time and place for any drink and driving imo. Legal or not.
    Pick one or the other.

  • Yeah, I agree with you... It was an experiment, I felt very anxious for the whole drive... Roads were quiet, wouldn't have fancied it at a busier time of day...

  • At Munich Legends getting a post purchase inspection on the e91 this morning. Their stock is obscene

  • My first job when I was 16 was a ward orderly at a hospital. One of the anesthetist that worked there had a green Z1, fucking loved it!

  • I drive past Munich Legends on the way to Precision Porsche, which is tucked away behind the Bluebell steam locomotive railway station- which is great fun if you are as nerdy as me.

  • This is the knee weakener...
