Timefactors is closed until further notice as ''Eddie'' - the man behind it all is not well at the moment. So technically - these watches are now unavailable. Quite a few came up on eBay and they seem to be going for more than original (unless in used condition).

Yeah you generally have maybe a day to order or you’re at the mercy of the flippers. :/
There’ll be another one next year. And you never know, maybe Swatch will do a decent series one. The original black one isn’t terrible, but I decided I couldn’t handle the graphics because the random dots looked like hour markers but in the wrong places.

These bad boy baubles are a must-have for anyone on here.
Found in Lakeside HomeSense.I would have bought them, but I needed to buy a common set of baubles on a regular basis before they would sell me them

Thanks for kind words, there’s a few spots on the dial where the lacquer has lifted but the case is phenomenal. Serviced by GS in Japan 2017 but from waving google translate over the paperwork it appears to remain unpolished.

Depends. Can be as much as 5mins I think. I never remember to monitor it properly.
Asal demagnetised it which I think helped for a bit. But it likely needs to be regulated.
I did want to just drop it off with them at the time anyway, but they said they couldn't guarantee waterproofness so it was best to see if the demagnetising(?) helped.
Annoyingly now I doubt I'll be able to get over there again anytime soon due to a bad leg followed by Xmas. Half tempted to go to Hatton Gardens or look into a postal option.

Jesus. Is this just needing a service or old age? I thought Seiko auto were reputable.

My 10 year old Seiko 5 that I've been wearing this week has lost so little time that I've not noticed it in the past 5 days.

The movement should have a regulator screw that can be tightened/ loosened to make minor adjustments if the watch is running too fast or too slow.
-
• #39947
I think it's just that particular movement. Saw this the other week.

5 minutes is well outside of normal tolerances, even for a 7S.
Seiko 7S/4R/6R movements are generally capable of being very accurate, they just don’t regulate them out of the factory so it’s pot luck what you get. My JDM turtle is as accurate as my Rolex, if not more. The turtle I bought @inchpincher gains 15 seconds a day or something. 🙄
A friend of mine regulated his Seiko 5 himself to +0.5 sec/day.
