The new alu cross I built didn't shift well either as I was running a 11-34 on a Apex medium reach rear mech.
I swapped for a GX long reach and made a barrel adjuster for it.

A bit crude and not my normal standard of fit ups. But it is just a kickstand and my mill isn't working yet.

It's a RockShox Tora. Pretty sure it's 100 mm travel, but I can't remember the exact specs. Some of Hulsroys henchmen are going to deliver it Tuesday and I can give a bit more details then.

I have acquired some components for the cargo bike. Originally I was hoping to use some X9 stuff but my one extra trigger broke and the rear mech was missing parts.

I am really uncertain whether I should braze on cable stops for the front mech or not. I am thinking I should be able to get up most things on tarmac loaded with 36T / 11-38T.

Have you heard of 11 speed? Its crazy man, they make like "wide range" cassettes now.

Too much money for casettes and mechs.

I went up a bridge with two kids in trailer today, I'm weak but was happy that there was a granny gear courtesy of my front mech. #anecdotalevidence
