  • Luck of the draw maybe. I've had my GKs twice as long as my Stradas now and ridden a lot more rough surface stuff with them and they're still cut free. Probably applies to my experience with Stradas too since I've not seen many other complaints about them cutting up as easily as I experienced.

    This is pretty true of all tyres in my experience.

    I'm not too fussed if a tyre gets cut up so long as it doesn't puncture. Pretty hard to avoid all the glass in London so I've stopped letting it bother me. I find that if a tyre has a thick central tread it'll prevent a lot of punctures from small shards of glass.
