• Horological folk,

My fiancée is a watch fancier. For her next birthday I'm hoping to plan a jaunt to take in some good watch things (museums/ factory tours).

Presumably Switzerland is the place to go?
Any recommendations for really great museums?
She particularly likes Rolex and Cartier so may look into those as factory tours if that's a possibility?

I've had a peep and most of the factories appear to be countryside/ smaller town affairs, what city would be the best to be based in to take in a few good stops?

I'm thinking three days so if there were three very good stops which could be tied in together that would be ideal.

    Any suggestions?

  • Geneva, Patek Philippe Museum. It's pretty close to the centre of Geneva and Geneva is the place to see if you like watches. There are some other nice things to do in Geneva in the unlikely event that you get bored looking at watches.
