  • And, seriously, stop @ replying to me. The ignore function works very well and then how would I ever see any of your urgent comments?

  • I'm not at replying now.

  • But now I know you don't like it, I'll avoid it.
    Is quoting better?

  • Not you.

  • Is this like your own @ WillMelling affect, where you tell people not to do it and get a surge of people doing it? I think it's an attention thing.

  • It's not a bad litmus test of who thinks they are terribly clever while actually being terribly sad.

  • barring a few bizarre questions at the beginning.... that QT was actually.... good

    swinson is DOA

  • I like the QT audience for once but sadly don't think they reflect voter intention. Yeh that one woman pretty much took Swinson out and was bang on the money with them playing at being Tories in labour clothing

  • seemed like a big room of normal people for once. this is on

  • david cameron in a dress.

  • Thought the questions were spot on. Joris B didn't answer a single one of them though. And his response to the question where he was asked if he'd say sorry for the various abhorrent things he'd previously said, was, well, abhorrent.

How anyone could vote for the Tories given how they've conducted themselves as a collective or as individuals is beyond me.

  • I'm not trying to be clever I genuinely don't get it. Oliver was right and I meant omniscience, thereby proving how not clever I am.

  • How anyone could vote Tory having watched that is beyond me - he was dreadful and the questions were indeed spot on, especially when they touched on how he was in government and cabinet for years, but makes out like anything as a result of that was nothing to do with him.

  • People managed before. To use the pub analogy that used to be popular, you don't need someone poking you in the ribs every time they speak for fear you won't hear them over the noise.

  • Somewhere in a different echo chamber, far, far away ...

I obviously agree with you, but this 'worked' for Trump and various others (although I don't know, I like to believe that he's the crassest example of it, but then he's clearly very unwell). Elsewhere people will go on about 'how can anyone vote for Labour if they'll wreck the economy', etc.

  • ^^ Can't you say that in language people will understand, ideally involving Waleses and double-decker buses?

  • Nicola Sturgeon is an excellent politician.

Corbyn came across well but I think he also had a relatively receptive audience. He was very lucky that the guy who followed up his neutral Brexit position completely backed him, and that the questioning then moved on. I agree with Corbyn's stance and the response, but this must dispel any more ideas about BBC 'plants' in QT audiences.

I thought he handled the stream of angry Scottish people well as well. He should have just said "give us two years and Labour will make the UK so good you won't want to leave" as that's what he seemed to be circling around.

I'm sure I could hear Jo Swinson cursing herself for demanding Lib Dems be given a place in the debates. What a shambles.

  • I realise that this forum is largely biased towards one viewpoint, but even if you exist in a different and opposite echo chamber elsewhere, surely no one could look at the ever increasingly brazen lies/deceit and not question how they can put their trust in them to manage the country?

I may be an optimist but I predict an epic collapse of the tory vote.

  • Don't jinx it FFS

  • There are many libdems on here. Curious about their thoughts. Not just about tonight. Just in general.

  • I have faith in humanity. Well, 48% of them.

  • I agree with Nick.

  • This is is how the Mail is reporting the show...

  • "A bit more austerity can't hurt"

"We did a good job in government, didn't we?"

    "Principles?"

    "I've made a huge mistake..."
