  • Looking to refresh my clothing options. No particular track-record of dressing well.

Have done a uniqlo trip for everyday staples - what retailers (shops or websites) do people recommend for more interesting items? I'm aware of (and like) Folk, A Day's March and cos, would appreciate more places to look...

  • Albam?

Been a while since I read menswear blogs but I really liked https://putthison.com/ back in the day. Do a lot of googling / reading before you buy stuff to make sure you get it right, esp for more expensive pieces

  • The idle man, Oi Polloi, Peggs & son.

  • I don't know if you have it on the isles (in Berlin), but I also like the more dressy offering from drykorn. All my suits are Drykorn Oregon's and have some t-shirts and a sweater.
The rest of my wardrobe is cos and/or secondhand. Also try second hand for brand stuff; I rarely buy new anymore; the aforementioned drykorn suits were bought for 15-25% of rrp worn once or twice.

  • Also, ln-cc and oki-ni. Expensive though, and FASHION

  • A Kind of Guise
    YMC
    Engineered Garments

Hang on. These are all stocked by Oi Polloi. As above; I’d check the store.

  • Flax London (disclaimer: it's my brand) :)

We design linen clothes for all seasons, cos it's a very sustainable and underused fabric.
Everything is made ethically and diligently in London, using all natural materials. And we are plastic free, from the factory to your door.

A few people on here have become loyal customers, so might be able to vouch for quality etc.

  • No particular track-record of dressing well.

    Just saw this and smiled
