  • it's like a colourful IWC Porsche - I fricking love those things. Bit cheaper too.

  • This is soo nice, proportions are perfect too. The Oris they did is great as well.

  • Alkin model one movement does have a date ghost function which confused me at the start when trying to set it.
£5.40 strap (w/ code) arrived so early watch Friday! Not sure about the hook/clasp though but maybe it is just new to me

  • Rather like that. B650WB? Is it basically sizewise like the W217?

  • Morning!

  • I really like that, has a very 7o’s atomic space age feel.

  • Nice. More moody Erika’s pls.

My review is, they’re very good for the money, but a bit long because they’re not made to size like Erika’s are.

(Edit: I’m aware the strap is in backwards in this pic, it has since been corrected, you may sleep easy)

  • Yeah, would agree with that, a little on the large side for my skinny wrists.

  • Hi All

I have posted a picture of my 1016 previously but I hope people will forgive me for posting again as it is the anniversary of the purchase brand new at the NAAFI in Singapore 22/11/1965.

Interestingly the watch was chronometer certified June 1962 so steel sports Rolexs did not always have a lengthy waiting list as this one waited 3 years between certification and purchase!

It is still a daily wearer and although it does lose a few minutes a month I am loath to get it opened up in case I have to get a load of stuff replaced. A little bit scratched and battered but I think that is what they call patina :)
