I have handsome cycles Mud Butlers in 45mm (very similar to VO hammered) over 38mm slick gravelkings. I wouldn't want to try and fit anything wider under them, I'd say close to the limit of functional clearance. 40mm tyres would fit but you'd probably start to get rub if you put in any kind of effort and you might start to get side-spray too.

Ahh yes I forgot I’d recently spotted the hilariously named mud butlers. Really don’t want to switch out my tyres as so far I’m loving them, but I’m too picky with the mudguards.

I ran 38c with some smooth 45s, I wouldn't recommend going over that.
I also have the 52 Zeppelins on a cross check with 43c GKs. I don't think you'd get much more under. -

I lost the bolts that attach some GB guards, anyone know where I can buy more?

Standard answer will be clerkenwell screws?

thanks, found it on SJS also. I looked before, but couldn't see it.

Yes. Running Surly Knards (41mm, but close to 42mm) with SKS Longboards (45mm). They work fairly nice, but I am going to replace them with 50mm Gilles Berthoud though as I have clearance for them.
I'd also consider Pelago fenders (45mm as well). They are nice quality, slightly cheaper and easier to find. I also considered Zeppelins, but they've been out of stock for a year in every European shop I could find.

Hello do you think the 45mm Pelago's would fit a 38mm Gravelking Slick?

Here's Pelago Stavanger from my local forum with that specific combo:
And here's mine with SKS Longboards:

oh wow. Oh wowowowow. I have always been all about the aeros, without even knowing it.

Great, thank you! Might get those in, look to be a nice compromise on price.

I know this is quite specific, but anyone know of any mudguards that would fit under my tektro mini v’s? I’m riding a caadx with 35mm tyres.
Otherwise I’m gonna have to go back to raceblades.

I am a little sad, I didn't buy mine in yellow.
Just out of curiousity - where'd you buy the Sugino crankset on yours?
They are hard to find in stock in Europe. -

CNC-bike had few of them available last year with stupid 52-36 rings that I replaced with TA 44-28 rings. I haven't seem them recently anywhere else.

I UTFS but it looks like the last comments were about a year ago. Does anyone have feelings about Kinesis Fend Offs?
I'm considering them as a half price alternative to PDWs but are they any good? They're going on my Ti Burls road bike.

Sounds more or less like my ideal setup, with a 11-36 at the back.

Yeah it works quite well, I'm about to try different front derailleur (CX-70) though, as 105 is difficult to position without chain rubbing at big ring in easiest gears.

Does anybody know what the PDW 'anti-rattle' tape is? And where I can get some?
-
• #4421
I am using 3M Helicopter tape in a few places. Does the job pretty well. Sometimes squeaks a tiny bit when it’s dry though

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

I asked PDW this exact question a year or so ago. It is 3M squeak reduction tape 5430.

Perfect, cheers!

Problem is finding it!
I have 52mm VO zepplins on my Surly Disc Trucker. They look sensible over my 38mm gravel kings. My 43mm gravel king Sks didn't fit as there wasn't eneough clearanace at the fork crown.
