  • Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a single large format (500x700) poster printed? Online or physical store.

  • 500 whats by 700 whats?

I can't really help but I am aware of white duck editions .net, not sure if they'll do singles though.

    Print club London maybe?

  • These things?

    They belong in a bin.

  • mm

Will check out print club London

Will check out print club London

Edit: they’re screen printing only. I just need simple digi

  • What am I even looking at here? They keep doing funny things with my eyes where I can't tell which way round they're supposed to be.

  • These lot used to. Quite a few scattered around to go to as well
    https://www.servicegraphics.co.uk/

  • I use The Print Hub, in Shoreditch. You can order online and pick up in store.
It's artsy stuff, though, so pricey!

  • What's the website that shows you a side-view silhouette of drop handlebars and allows you to overlay them to compare?

  • Not the same Service Graphics as was a few years ago when I worked for them.
They went bust a year or two ago, and someone else has now taken the name.

  • Yes, the one near me used to be called Service Point. Not sure when that changed.

  • How fancy? Where are you?
    Hobs Repro, numerous branches.
Print Farringdon on Cowcross Street are nice.

  • Nope, not that one (unless there's a button to get away from the top-down view that I'm missing). There was another one that gave you a side view of drop bars to allow you to compare the reach and drop shape.

  • Yeah, when I was working for Service Graphics, I always thought that the Service Point livery / logos / etc were deliberately trying to emulate those of Service Graphics. To the point of taking the piss.

  • Say a frame comes in two sizes that have almost the same reach (within a few mm), but different stack numbers. Size A is smaller, the seat post would have to be longer, and there would have to be ~2cm of spacers on the steerer underneath the stem. Size B is larger, the stem would be essentially slammed, the seat post would obviously poke out less.

Any specific reasons to prefer frame A or B? B sounds more 'appropriately' sized. A will be a little bit lighter probably... any other relevant differences?

  • Standover height?

  • Frame bag capabilities, stiffness, comfort... you might not be able to feel the difference for the last 2 though.

  • Which way would stiffness and comfort go though? Because on the one hand, I'd expect smaller triangles to be stiffer, but then a longer seat post and a steerer with spacers probably not so much?

  • Unless you’re propelling the bike with your arse, seatpost stiffness is not essential

  • How does everyone else do it?

  • A smaller triangle would be stiffer laterally (everything else being equal), but longer seatposts are more compliant. So in theory the smaller bike will be both stiffer and more comfortable.

I very much doubt you (or anyone else for that matter) would notice though.
