Firstly, i was wondering, too
Secondly, i ironically wanted to respond that this might be a shoulder carrying strap like they used in the 80s/90s with the triangle packs on the TT/ST intersection
Thirdly, think i found the correct answer:

Dangle keys for maximum jangle.

Guys I think the strap might be to carry the bike.

Carry it?! It must weigh at least 15kgs...

In other news, Reddit just came through with this absolute gem.

I’d ride that but why does it look like I welded and painted it? In the dark. With my eyes shut. What’s with all the marks?

My best guess is shitty rattle can job. Look at how the seat mast clamp is (badly) painted over.

I don't particularly like the bike to begin with, mostly due to the somewhat messy-looking cables. Could they not have offered internal routing?
Aaargh

Getting offended by eBay's suggestions today .

Handy that it comes with a cable lock, a bike this sweet would be gone in no time without it!

It makes more sense with the stock tyres, I can't imagine a lot of crossover between Liv Sedona use and mud.

Look at these cockpits.
Found on a local FB marketplace group.
Heck.
The thing tied to it? A carrying strap, I'd say. The actual metal bit built into the BB junction? According to this, a 'Pinion P1.18 gearbox'.
Honestly, I don't particularly like the bike to begin with, mostly due to the somewhat messy-looking cables. Could they not have offered internal routing? Or at least route them better for the pictures...
