  • Got some pink plush handcuffs if you like.

  • What are you needing? I have lots of spares.

  • Id like a set up to print BW, currently have nothing! So trays, easel, enlarger, safelight etc. Anything cheap would be great

  • Ummm...i'll pass thanks!

  • I can sell / give you some trays, easel, safelight, containers, thermometer, maybe some free paper to experiment with.

I'll pull it out tomorrow and send some photos.

It's just great fun, you're going to love it.

  • Would be amazing! I'll PM

  • Sad

  • wtf

  • plastic innit .. for such a lovely 6x4.5 camera its flawed design, more than material of choice .. it encourages you to hold the camera using the back and with a heavy lens and metered prism finder it creates this cantilever structure and eventually breaks; because plastic

  • This is from a Mamiya 645 Pro, right?
Not sure what you mean when you say it encourages you to hold the camera using the back, the only way I hold these is with two hands, one on the right side and one on the left, rather in front, to focus the lens.

  • 1st pic: Is how it should be picked up, weird to hold like that
2nd pic: the 'thumb' tab to take the back off(?) but encourages (me) to pick up using that
3rd pic: Is how I pick up

    Maybe I am stupid?

  • Yea that thumb / middlefinger tab is intended to mount / remove the back more easily.
Can't really see why you would grab there to pick up the camera, I mean it's quite hard to do so without bonking the front of the lens, isn't it?

Actually, yea (I realise this is a bit of a stretch with the prism finder mounted, but) you do pick those up like in your first picture - well, lift it off the ground like that at least, having our other hand ready to "scoop" from below and.. well actually you just sort-of toss it around between your two hands, not knowing how the fuck you should be carrying this brick-shaped thing, and then you go and buy one of those overpriced straps with the proprietary clip thingies (this then, at least, sort-of solves the picking-up issue along the way - you just pull on the strap and gently assist with one hand so the fucking lens doesn't bonk on the table).

    You'll get used to it.
Actually didn't you just become a father? Use the camera as practice, it's kind of like with a kid, at least the camera holds still though
    : ]

  • Yeah using this camera a lot as it does 16 vs 10 on all my 6x7.

Next question can i buy just the lugs for this camera and use any strap?

  • I have never seen the lugs being sold seperately.

  • Couple more from this fashion show. Portra 800, Bronica SQ-A.

  • And not from a fashion show.

  • 2nd roll of film through my new (to me) Olympus 35rc. It's definitely not winding on properly! reluctant to spend any money getting a camera that cost me £25 and I'm not sure I like using fixed. I quite like some of the results but would like something more predictable to carry around with me. Anyone selling a cheap 35mm rangefinder by any chance?

  • I do like those juxtapositions.

  • Where are people getting their scans done?

Jessops by me has a quick turn around but their "Hi Res" scans are not Hi Res at all and will look shit if printed etc.

Anywhere online thats good to use?

  • You’re Birmingham, right ? Either Palm Labs in Digbeth or AG Photographic in Duddeston depending on which side of the City you live.

I use Palm. Turn around times are slower (about a week) but the quality is excellent and is owned by a nice guy who’s a cyclist. I buy my film from there also as their pricing is pretty reasonable

  • Yes sir, I am in Moseley so Digbeth is just down the road really.

I will try Palm Labs, thanks for the recommendation!

  • Acros II is out in Japan.... however it's made in the UK (Ilford) rather than by Fuji sadly.

Will be interesting to see if it's just a Delta 1oo variant

  • Today I will mostly be shooting this
