  • Keep this one @roobarb59 - Unless you need the cash, it's just not worth getting rid of. You won't get enough to justify it and you'll miss it.

  • When trying to decide if I want to get rid of something, I generally ask two questions: 1) Have I used it in the last year? 2) Would it be easily replaced if I needed it in the future?

While it potentially falls short on the former, it definitely wouldn’t be easily replaced. A custom bike made by a renowned builder is a rare thing, and judging by the many threads I’ve read on this forum with people having total nightmares in trying to get a custom bike built these days, I’d really make the case for trying to hang onto it. Of course if you’re desperate to clear out, things will always have to go to make room for more important stuff, but a frame like that will potentially last a lifetime but perhaps won’t get you much cash in a sale.

Just my 2p. Looks like a cool bike, keep it!

  • Thanks for that @JB. This forum has helped me through my dilemma and I'll probably keep it.

  • Thanks for your thoughts @nefarious. I'm coming to the conclusion that you (and many others who have kindly posted their opinions) are right!

  • Have you considered rebuilding it in a slightly different guise to give it a new purpose?
Do you have much tyre clearance and could go gravel/forest riding on it?
Big basket and make a shopping bike out of it?
    Does it barspin? ;)

You might appreciate hanging onto it more if you give it a revamp. It’s very 2011 macchiato shop cruiser at the mo!

  • Keep it, you may never have a bike again that's made with that much love. Unless you're going to replace it with another Feather.
