The eight is wrong though.
There's just no correct way to do it: A correct eight would be totally confusing being upside down next to nine...

It's better, but I wish they'd abandon reflective symmetry when using roman numerals and come up with something that looks perfectly balanced instead: creative use of a sub-dial/date/logo/etc.

The design approach is always: make them skinnier, no skinnier still, a little more, that's it: Imperfect!

roman numerals are not my favourite apart from this one. one day..

Totally agree, I only own one watch with any sort of numeral but there are always exceptions, I’d love an old Tank.
And I posted this day date not long ago, perfectly balanced dial.

That's not the most outrageous price I have seen in a shop window for a steel Daytona. I'd say that was priced to sell!

Yeah thats what I assumed and they usually present them in the original box for fully 'wow' factor and reassurance if its available. Not my thing anyway, just thought that the price wasn't bad.

@JB Yeah its not the ceramic as I think the gent said it was dated 2010 but most ceramics are around £20,000 anyway.

Joking aside I do quite like him. He's good on the podcast. I don't listen to it all that often but if there's a guest who piques my interest, I do, and he's always entertaining to listen to. Lives around the corner from me as well.
