2 people didn't start in the 2 volcano race: Björn and Fiona. That's disappointing.

Shame, but I guess it makes it more interesting at the front for a few more people.

I can't hold it on Fiona. I'm surprised she entered. What with starting her medical residency, she won't have been riding at all.

I like Karl

With a surname like that who doesn't?! (ok, and he made it to Turkey and probably bought a beer or two :))

Haha most improved.. to the guy that's won TCR twice! :D
Backhanded compliment if ever I saw one. -

I think it's fair. Off road is completly different. It's like a top track rider traing to win a CX race.

I guess, if they're talking about you being a dirt herder now. But a big engine overcomes a lot of skill deficit. Still pretty funny to see you as most improved, like they'd not noticed what you'd been doing the last few years. :D

It does and it doesbt. Simple terrain like at Italy divide is fine, but proper mtb at ht550 and anytime we came to technical stuff I was going backwards fast! It was humbling.

Had to vote scratch award to Jonathan. Hippy gets 'most races entered to good performance' award.

Scratch award, the booby prize! :(

Got my name on the list for Race around Netherlands so it's probably time to swap from my SPD sandals and have a shave.

On Halloween this year, I decided I'd do another ~24 hour shift signed into UberEats accepting and completing every delivery request and not going offline at all. The FAQs on their website say that London operates from 7am-4am everyday so I thought I'd sign-in at 7am and go until the next morning. It turned out that they were not correct and it indeed still is a 24-hour service. So, naturally, I did 25 hours.
Check out how it all unfolded, how many deliveries I did, how much I earned and the ups & downs along the way in the video I put together about it. I was also wearing a spooky costume throughout too!

The videos from the Australia fixed gear loop are coming soon. I have a big idea for next year if some stars align too...

Enjoyed it Joseph, interesting insight :) The bit with the rain looked tough going.

Glad you liked it! Took me yonks to edit! Yeah, it was actually wet for the last 6 or so hours and I definitely didn't take enough clothes with me. Great finish to test the mental determination though. :D

Any All Points North riders here? Just found out I've got a place.
A new event in Wales organised by Karl Speed, who I know from TCR 2016. It's basically an Everesting weekend with a bunch of mountains in Wales, mostly the Brecons. It's at the end of March, so the weather could make or break it.
No website yet but there is a facebook page:

I might see if I can get a pass out for it.
