Awesome !!! Can't you flip the stem to lose spacers?
-
• #124530
But then the bars would be in a different position?

Looks like my pugsley!

On a 10* stem?
Flipping a 10°×100mm stem changes the spacer stack by 35mm if you want the bars to stay in exactly the same place. By the law of similar triangles, a different length stem varies the change in stack in direct proportion, e.g. 110mm stem gives 1.1×35mm=38.5mm

Flipping it also reduces the reach (by about 10mm I think) I feel comfortable on it as is but like the option of flipping it the raise the front end/shorten the reach for “cross/gravé/radventure” whatever you want to call it off road riding. Will see how I get on.

Flipping it also reduces the reach
Only if you don't reduce the spacers by enough to keep the stack the same

Im currently using some On-One Mary bars which I like and are comfy Af. However they do not suit my bike at all...
Anything wide enough with a more subtle back sweep and no so aggy bends??

Finally fitted the forks & bars I picked up from @dr-roboto to the Faggin beater I am putting together.
I should really cut the forks by 20mm.
Or learn about colour coordination...

That's dying for a tall black quill!

I know, but unfortunately I don't have one in my parts box...
So I have cobled together this ahead stem adaptor and carbon stem I had in the attic.
I have a few silver quill stems, but not long enough and not black.

give it a gentle stretch when doing so. nothing extreme. and post the results! I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Not too sure where to ask so ill put it here; I ordered a set of SRAM Rival 1 Shifter/brake levers and it appears that the left hand lever (Brake only) does not have a return spring so it just flops about, the other lever is fine. Do they come like this stock or is the brake lever meant to have the spring that return the lever?
Want to know if i'll have to send them back as they were sold to me as working properly and I don't want to have a floppy brake lever if that's not intended

The tension in the brake cable will keep it from being floppy
But no I don’t think they do -
• #124548
So they don't come with the spring?

No
