I need to get colour swatches for a bike build, to decide on the paintwork... The builder has lots but it's in another country so doesn't really help me. Do you think I can get swatch sets (for automotive paints?) posted? If so, where to look? The subject is not very google-able unfortunately.

The painter will almost certainly be using RAL colours. If you're feeling cheeky, Armourtex on Hackney Road or Stayer Cycles have actual painted samples to look at.

Armourtex on Hackney Road
RIP no longer there, but you can send it off via stayer, SBC or clever mike
-
• #99632
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was there last week.

Wut? but Steve from armourtex no longer trades under that name (something coatings). Another company bought the trade name and generally have a bad reputation for sloppy work. Unless Steve has managed to sort that?

¯_(ツ)_/¯

What courier is likely to have a tracking number in the format PBZOxxxxxxxyyy where xxxxxxx is consignment number and yyy is I guess the parcel in the consignment (it was 001)?
They shipped me a pair of wheels and lost a bit. eBay seller is I think a young kid or something and doesn't really know what he's doing.
Edit: through trial and error, Parcelforce

Do the stripes on the arms make these look like fake Gucci?
I'm after a spare pair of cheapo glasses, and like these, but don't want people to think they're Gucci or a fake pair of Gucci glasses.
Cheers.

Don't know if it helps, but Decathlon have a very interesting range of sunglasses for around 20 euros I think ; one of my mate bought a pair an is genuinely enthusiastic about these, might worth having a look if you have access to one nearby (we have lot down here in France)!

No idea about Gucci-ness of them, but permanent marker/spray paint could work to get rid of the stripe. Might be over the top for a cheap pair of sunnies though.

Are extractor hood bulbs special in anyway? I need one of these: https://www.espares.co.uk/product/es547835/30w-e14-halogen-cooker-hood-bulb
but wonder if a generic candle one will do like this: https://www.screwfix.com/p/lap-ses-candle-led-light-bulb-470lm-5-9w-4-pack/9586t

We have edison size bulbs under ours and have used a variety, though always of the industrial/long life type.

Should be specially rated for high ambient temperature

So probably not plastic ones...

As far as I know the new Armourtex is called Aurum Finishing. As you say you can deal with them through Stayer. Two frames and forks so far for me and it’s been perfect :-) (actually it’s two f/f but three jobs, all perfect anyway)

Is there really no way of asking iOS / apple maps for directions by bike or am I missing something?
I can only see drive (car), walk, transit and "ride". -

Why use Apple maps over Google maps?

Late to the party but we got married at Kew. It's not really all that cheap at the weekend but weekdays were ok. They want you to use a caterer from their pre approved list though, and they're all a bit costly.
I’ve just watched another video that shows the freehub body contains two different cartridge bearings, which I didn’t realise it contained. So that might be the issue.
Tempted to buy a new freehub, as this one has lots of bite marks anyway, to see if that sorts the problem.
