Assume the axle is straight?
I assume so, but haven’t checked.
When I took everything apart, it all looked in good nick. Everything was where it was supposed to be and nothing was sticky or rubbing. The cartridge bearing felt smooth too.
The wheel spins perfectly fine when not under load, but with the QR compressing things, it binds up. I just need to work out what happened a month ago that caused this.

Yes, I believe so. The DS and NDS both have a plastic end cap that clicks on
