  • There's a 20% discount with the code POSE20

  • My wife just got me one of these for my birthday. Really impressed with it. Great for both music and podcasts.

Might order one so we can pair them for stereo sound.

  • anyone used these before - JBL Clip?

Seems to tick all my boxes of cheap, easy to attach and weatherproof...

  • I got one of these Bose Soundlink Micro speakers. I'm super impressed with it, highly recommend!

  • I haven’t used one but Amazon have the grey colour for £29.99 at the moment.

  • I had the previous model and sound quality was average at best (obviously that may have changed for this one).

  • Have just taken a punt on a Soundcore 2, direct from Anker in China. They have lots of options on their store, including a clip speaker. Just need to be patient now on delivery!

  • judging by their powerbanks, it will be amazing

  • I’ve got one of these, so far so good, had it about 4 months. Used it in its first downpour on Sunday, no issues. I’d reccommend!

  • anyone know if any of the more recent speakers that have a built in clip also have playback control on an android phone through the physical buttons?

my boombot rex lets me skip forwards by double pressing the play button, occassionally it'll let me triple click to go backwards but is extremely hit and miss.

I dinged it up pretty badly last year going over my bars and will likely need to replace it soon but just wondering what options are out there as volume, play pause, fwd/back control is a must, as is being able to clip it to my bag strap without it swinging around everywhere.

  • Nice - cheers everyone

JBL Clip 3 is out and I've got one. Carabiner is part of the case rather than attached to silicone/rubber like on model 2. Feels sturdy like the rest of the device.

Website doesn't mention Android (or iPhone for that matter), so not sure about functionality but they wouldn't miss out on that market would they?

The buttons are on the front top of the speaker, and fairly big. You feel the click when adjusting without looking, and can kind of tell which one you're pressing. Was fine adjusting volume and forwarding when attached to a Carradice Pendle (speaker facing forward, right behind my thigh if that makes sense?).

BIG bass, too big indoors, just fine outdoors. Fairly heavy but I think it's average for products of this size.

Bluetooth is very quick to connect.

    Hope this helps.

Although that Bose a few posts above looks sexier:) And maybe the attachment is better for on-bag or handlebars.

  • Those Bose are nice but pricey. I nearly got one, but just felt I'd leave it on my bike and it'll be gone....

I went for an Outdoor Buckshot 2 for £25.

So far pretty good, Radio 4 in the morning, and Stevie Wonder on the ride home at night. I like how it's pointing directly in my face from the handlebar, so it doesn't have to be too loud.

  • Amy suggestions for a reasonable USB C, portable, sub-£40 speaker (that I can buy in Hong Kong, I'm out here for a few weeks and forgot my speaker)?

  • Anker? they seem to sell in some Hong Kong stores.. https://www.anker.com/wheretobuy

  • Cheers. That gives me some shops to look in at least.
