The Hightower has a 50mm stem, the RC295 a 32mm.

543 for the Hightower (Reach plus stem), vs 535 for the RC295, so the XL Pace would be ~10mm shorter than the XL Hightower (using my highly scientific method).

10 years, unknown how they respond - one would hope that they'd be toward the decent end of the spectrum.

I'd prefer Fox suspension (simply because I found the hubs a PITA on the Hightower's Rockshox), and Shimano gears, what specification would you chaps suggest based on the Pace suggested builds component level (but with the DPS Factory shock option)?

The £333 upgrade price is a bit odd, for the Kashimax DPS is it not?

The frame as a default comes with the Rockshox Deluxe RT3 Debonair, which Google suggests is a ~£300 RRP shock. I wonder if more parts than the shock are being upgraded?

It's just the shock, doesn't strike me as being conspicuous value.

I think I'd like 12 speed XT with a SRAM cassette, 203mm front rotor, Fox 36 forks, and if I'm being a tart and going for the gold coating a matching rear shock and seatpost.

I noticed the Pace has a 30mm longer seat tube than the Hightower. How long a dropper post can you fit in there?

150mm I think.

No one at Pace could explain the Fox upgrade price today, hopefully they can tomorrow.
