Anyone seen a review of the RC295?

Did a lap of Bedgebury today - very nice out, but muddy.
I actually set a few PR's, but for climbing sections.
I think that I would like more grip for the muddy conditions that we're going to have for the next six months - what would a decent set of tyres be for Winter?

Of the five Magic Mary's that come back when I do this search on Wiggle, which would you recommend? https://www.wiggle.co.uk/?s=magic+mary

Addix Snakeskin. The others are super heavy reinforced DH type tyres
1.35kg, yikes

It'll probably wear quickly, but that's the price of extra grip
I wouldn't worry about it being any slower at this time of year

Apart from that, no real reason

Cheers, shall order.
On a different note, L or XL?

The Hightower XL is just between the L and the XL, presented for comparison:

Was it wet? Never been to Bedgebury - went to Aston Hill last time it was dry, but I imagine that's going to be totally slippy if it is even slightly damp so looking for other decent - all weather - areas which aren't a 2 hour drive away.

It was good, I was very cautious but could have gone a lot faster - most of the quick sections drain well. The cafe is very good (albeit the queues are long later in the day), I try to get there for breakfast and then ride.

Nice, I might try it next weekend. It's about 1 hour 20 for me so that's not too bad.
-
• #2143
About the same for me - an hour in the morning, hour and a half in the afternoon.
Depending on where you are I'm happy to give you a lift.

Kind offer, but I'm in central and in the congestion zone so unless you're north of Angel probably not going to be the most straightforward.
I've got a batty 996, reluctantly forced into bike carrying duties with roof racks, that would make your skin crawl based on the condition of your one...

I'm in Forest Hill, which is on the Overground - if you're near Canonbury it's 13 stops, could be an option if you don't fancy driving through town.

Pace RC295. How sure are you of your diagnosis of Large?

If you're hiring, pretty sure. If you're buying, I'll have a closer look

They have a range of three frames, the two I'm not interested in both have a height chart, and both put me on the XL. The one frame I am interested in doesn't have a height chart, because of course not.

That website hurts my brain
You've had a few rides on a Hightower. Would you prefer to be more or less stretched out?
You seem to be doing ok on the Scalpel, which initially seemed a bit small for you

XL.
We were at Bedgebury at the same time today. Doh!
So of course it's going to piss down this weekend.
