Thanks - about 12 years I think.......Was lucky to get it before stainless steel sports Rolexes really took off. When I bought it, the dealer said you can never stop buying watches once you've started.....which turned out to be correct!
Love the Panerai and the heart stopping story (and happy ending); I saw a smaller Panerai (maybe 38/39mm - max 42mm?) which I can find would be my next acquisition.

I saw the pictures over the last few days so got this out for the first time in ages. Vintage 5513 with spider web dial. Feels lovely and heavy on your wrist, but rather battered with a scratch on the glass that needs to be polished out. The dial seems pretty minimal compared to the modern versions.....
