Careful with the high res monitors, at my previous workplace I got a 4k display (32" benq, not recommended) but turns out my Macbook was too outdated to drive it smoothly. So a new Macbook had to be ordered next week.

I've got a new mac mini so driving a 5k monitor shouldn't be an issue

Just had that issue with MacBook Pro's and the LG UltraFine 4K Display from the Apple online store. It appears that brand new MacBook Pro's don't seem to output at 4K which was a bit of a shame.

New monitor time. Is there any point looking for alternatives to the LG ultrafine 5k or should I just get it? So many £££...
