Some shoemaker brands might allow it, but the general rule is if you went to a third party you can stick that third party up your starfish. They don’t want to be fixing a bad cobbler’s work. They only want to rebuild what they have built.
Church, like many, refuse to touch shoes that have been soled by an independent. Taint, etc.
Don’t be fooled though, an independent can do an equally excellent (dare I say ‘better’) job for a lower price than many manufacturer.
