@jameso few questions above about Pinnacle dynamo wheels, would you mind answering?

It seems that hub (KT JH-KD5F) also goes by the name Contec Powerhouse 2+ Pretty steep though at 150 euros but swappable end caps is a plus I suppose, and comes in 28 hole as well.

One thing that came up last week is that the 650B wheel hubs are 15mm not 12mm, some spec or delivery error, not sure. Need to look into it.

This seems to indicate that they come as 15mm as standard but might need a separate set of end caps.

At the risk of boring people with this, I picked mine up today and was actually pretty pleased. Build seems fine, rims are labelled as WTB ST Light i25 TCS, hub came with QR/12mm/15mm end caps and the wheel was taped (tubeless) with a valve included in the box.

I weighed the 650b at 1.12kg. The hub weight is stated as 448g, 32xPG spokes should be in the region of 225g, which leaves the rim at 450g. All-in-all I think it is a good option at the price.

Glad you are pleased. I'm still kinda tempted.

Picked up the 700c one today. Looks alright. Came with swappable end caps although not a QR one despite coming with an actual skewer.

As long as we stay in the EU, there’s a 2 year warranty on it anyway so can’t complain too much as long as it works for a while

The QR end caps are stuck to the dropout protector discy things. I was a bit confused initially as well by the presence of the skewer but luckily spotted the caps before I binned the discy things.

Pretty sure, it came with 3 types so they would be the obvious ones. I measured the ID of the axle as well and it is 15mm. Can check caps for sure when I get home but check out the pic in my link.

Ah I see, I’ll have a look if the cleaners have chucked those. The wheel is at work

Oh? Spj7´s photos (link above) seem to show three sets of caps, including QR ones, as well as a skewer. So yours came with only 12 and 15 mm ones then? Weird.

No as he/she later pointed out, the QR end caps are attached to the plastic axle protectors that come on the wheel which I nearly threw out. They did come with all 3
