  • Thought I'd share this, since I've just dusted it off. It's from the early 90s and made by Shadow, who are best known for piezo pickups for acoustic guitars. It's a fairly standard super-strat with Schaller hardware (Floyd-Rose licensed design), but the pickups are unusual. They're tunable so you adjust their response to different frequency bands. The neck is much flatter than the HSS strat copy that I usually play, but I seem to be able to switch between them without too much trouble.

The trem is currently locked out, because I'm not one for divebombs and I'm considering completely changing the nut and bodging a standard bridge so I can get rid of all the metalwork around the fine tuners. I'm only going to do what I can without having to change or add anything to the body itself, but I've got a couple of ideas.
