Is there any way to short out the standlight on the new rear dynamo light? Seems a bit daft to have a commuting bike with a red light that you can't kill on station platforms. Any tips other than covering it with a saddle cover or whatever (and in the longer term replacing it)?

Not atm, but sjs has some shop soiled ones going online soon; we also have mudguards - online, some pedals, bars and a few other little bits - mostly new off unridden bikes.
