As far as I’m aware (from reading the internet) a 6770 front and 6870 rear won’t work together, mechs need to be the same series - 6770 shifters will work for 11speed though.
I’m about to build a bike with external battery as over the winter it’s less practical to bring a wet/muddy bike into the house to charge it as I had to with internal battery bike, just a thought... plus the charger for internal batteries are overpriced at £60 odd!
