Germany's post war recovery must be one of the greatest economic success stories in modern history.
From memory, the only European nation not to receive Marshall Plan money was Spain (the USA hated Spain). Looking at and comparing the spending decisions and policies of each European country post war is heaven for an economics nerd. The UK did not do well.
