  • ah, bugger....worth keeping in mind though, as they are old school style sellers.

    Its not a drama to just spin the grinder around, and I still use it for polishing, which is better towards you, as you can see what you're doing better.....dont worry about making your MDF too perfectly, as when they are fixed on, just hold some sandpaper up to it👌

    I usually do my axes by hand, using files to remove big dings, then progressively finer wet and dry, wrapped around various shaped bits of wood......very satisfying!

  • We have splitting axes, mauls, kindling axes and hatchets. It’s rewarding but time consuming sharpening them. It was one of the wranglestar YouTube videos on axe sharpening that got me on to this journey. 4 passes on coarse and 4 passes on polishing (each side) and he was able to shave his arms. It takes me a lot longer with a puck stone and ain’t got time for that.
