Ahh I just bought tickets to Yorkshire! If the weekend changes let me know
-
• #4
can't make it:( Will be in Paris that weekend.
Great route this one -
• #5
Ah, will be in Edinburgh that weekend :-(
Keen if it gets pushed back one week. And looking at the profile I could get away with a fixed gear!
-
• #6
Yaaassss. Following weekend would be preferable but I can do either.
-
• #7
I'm in France then!
-
• #8
ok, looks like I picked the wrong time

That works for me

I was planning on riding an audax actually starting from Lowestoft on the 24th and riding there overnight. We might see each other :-)

• #14
No can do unfortunately.

I have zero plans for November, so any date is fine for me.

There's a BMX track in Rendlesham forest, just in case you fancied a little detour. Location shown below.
There are also MTB routes in Tunstall Forest, but I've not been on them. They are quite famous locally

Nice! We found one last year too, don't think it was Rendlesham forest.
-
• #18
that one that you found looks a bit better than the one in Rendlesham forest. This is it here - https://www.pinkbike.com/video/372983/

About 3 miles in land from Orford? I found that once when up there celebrating the other half’s 40th.

Cool, thanks! Stoker won't be in the country, so no tandem on the BMX track this time
-
• #22
Checked photo location data, it's Tunstall Forest apparently
-
• #23
Much better date for me thank you! Will need a warmer sleeping bag by then though

For the Nth time forum bikepacking clashes with P&L shop gravel rides. My choice has been with overnighters so far
-
• #25
Thankfully, forum bikepacking never clashes with the really important rides ;-)
Last bikepacking trip of the year.
It will be a repeat of this excellent route, if I do say so myself.
Start: Woodbridge train station
Finish: Lowestoft train station
Terrain: doubletrack, sandy paths, all doable on a cross bike upwards
Overnight: wild camp
Vibes: yes
Please note, this is a weather-dependent event. Register your interest now and we will decide whether to proceed roughly 5 days in advance when the weather forecast is up.
