  • Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but I've got a Ricoh RZ-770 (first made in 1990 I believe) you can have for a tenner plus postage if you're interested? I've not used it in a while but was totally functional last time I did.

  • I've got olympus mju1 with some fault too.
Dm for the details if you are interested.

  • .

  • I'm in Fife and have either a Rolleicord VB or Bronica ETRSi you can borrow. 1 hour drive from Edinburgh @BigH

  • Another option would be Ffordes outside Inverness who have a 645J body for £130

  • Cheapest place to get pelicase and foam?

  • eBay secondhand, and then clean and replace the o-rings

  • Nikon FE, Delta 400

  • These are awesome!

  • Nice portrait!

  • I just seen this, could have had my Bronica.

  • So ilfords big reveal was just a cut down version of their 5x4? Or am i missing something

  • It’s Orthochromatic film. I’ve not used the 5x4 version but I imagine it lightens blues and darkens reds.

Kinda disappointing considering the build up for what is a niche product

  • First roll of film taken on the Olympus 35rc I bought on eBay didn't come out how I'd hoped. I guess it wasn't winding on properly, loads came out weirdly double exposed. I quite like some of them but not what I was after really! Will put another roll through and see if my luck is any better.

  • Anyone got suggestions for places to get film processed and digitalised? Both colour and black and white. Spent an extra £3 to get that film scanned at jessops and the "high res" images are less than 1mb each. Utterly shit.

  • Also, years ago my uncle gave me an Olympus OM2 with a mad macro lens that he used for dental photography (he was a dentist, not a pervert (as far as I know)). I opened it up for the first time in years yesterday and found a roll of XP2 in it. I was hoping it'd be full of vintage gob shots but I guess I must have put a test roll through the camera and forgot about it. I guess I hadn't quite nailed the focus but I kind of like some of them!

  • really enjoy 1st one

  • Jessops are generally bad - they don’t properly maintain the chems in their mini labs and the scans are only good enough for 6x4 prints.

For C41, Filmdev are cheap. Their scanning will be a whole let better than Jessops, but the more picky of us have issues with it.
AG Photographic are more expensive for C41 but generally have better quality scans.

For B&W ( and E6), Palm Labs every time who are my favourite lab. Turn around times can be slower than other though

The last two are local to me though - there should be good labs in London that others can recommend

  • Thanks for the recommendation! Should have mentioned that I'm based in Leeds. There's at least one place up here that does both but it's really pricey.

  • Is the first one by the selfridges carpark in Birmingham?

Edit, I have just read through more of the thread and I assume you are! I like seeing decent shots of my home town!
