TM just tagged me in a vid on Instagram. Looks perfect. I want something mainly as a backup to have in a bag all the time but I work as a bike courier and my boss won't spend more than a couple of quid on lights to stop people crashing into the bullitts he's spent thousands on. This looks great to be able to swap between all the different bikes we have and take on and off quickly as I'm running in and out of offices.

Fuck it, I might buy a front as well.

I’m thinking up a way of modding the Mount to fit to my rear mudguard/front wald. Great secondary lights.

Could you attach a wider tube to the rack? For a while I used the centre of a till roll that I'd cable tied to my saddle to attach a light to.

I’m a courier as well and the mounting system is perfect for this. You can remove and attach with one hand without thinking. I usually attach the front while I’m riding (you know those extra seconds count).
I hate using lights that need two hands to attach/remove. Super frustrating when you are in a rush.

Nah think I’m gonna drill the mount so it fits on directly.

I was a bit busy so rushed it, could do with a bit of smoothing off and would like to find a better solution that the zip ties, still, happy with the result and even on low flash it’s super visible compared to the other light I was using.

Thanks. I'm going to give it a go. I love a little project like this.

I have the older version of that from.ali Express, thought I'd bulk buy, got 8 in total, and 2 have been nicked as I'm too lazy to take them off when I lock the bike. They work really well, last long time between charges and great value for money

I'm not a courier, yet I'm easily annoyed by shit, so did just buy these as well.

Orion is micro, does come with lead (which seals with the light body if you need to charge during use in the rain. who asked for another USB standard... I know it’s better (easier) but it’s annoying af.

Anyone know of any of the moon rear lights can been mounted to a carradice bag? Thinking a clip type attachment.

Ring, comet x, comet x pro
I have comet x pro, comes with belt/bag clip mount, regular rubber band on mount but also under saddle mount which is neat.
Clip is really secure, stayed on my carradice for a 1200 mile tour including being left on while used for hand luggage for 20 hour travel.

Yeah, the various sorts I’ve seen all came with a “belt clip” thing which works OK.

Thanks to you both
I had a look at the Orion but it appeared to not come with the clip.

Aye, the Orion uses their magnetic fitting, I need to double check but think it’s just the rubber on bracket that’s available for the magnet fitting.
-
• #5098
One could just get a strong magnet to attach it to, say, a backpack right?
-
• #5099
Nah, the magnet locates then you twist/ratchet the light to lock it on. The magnet is strong enough to stick one on your fridge for safe keeping though.
I had a knog magnetic light once, then after a couple of weeks I didn’t.

Ah I see, thanks for clarifying.
It’s the best light mount I’ve ever seen. Mount rubbers on, you can get spare mounts as well so makes for super easy switching. As farewell says light locates with magnet and twists on then twists off. Ingenious.
