As in they don't retain their waterproofing? If so can this be topped up in a waterproofing wash?

Or do you mean the fabric tears easily?

Probably the later, you can't wear them with a bag, wear it away and lets water in

I've just ordered one, wish I was a cashed up geezer and cycled less :D

It has almost no abrasion resistance, so if you actually use it, it wears through quickly
don't waste your money on it yet
