  • The forward passes were driving me mad. Although most don’t actually know the rule.
I thought the TMO was good, I was worried live that he hadn’t tried to bind but replay showed otherwise.

  • So far a game between two average sides aimlessly kicking and failing to catch. Just make it the 3rd place play off

  • Seriously modest fayre!!! Think SA crumbling under expectation they should comfortably win and Wales, well, just being Wales

  • It’s like Jose Mourinho’s coaching SA

  • I might do the hoovering

  • 37 mins and a bit of excitement!

  • Oh, wait, no, as you were.

  • I'm watching this wondering which side is going to lose next week.
Wales really need to get a grip on and score a couple of tries.

  • No attacking threat from either side really. SA just bore a team to death, and Wales look clueless. At least the second half can only get more entertaining, or not?

  • Eddie's notes must be pretty sparse, unless he's just doodling on that note pad.

  • Not the entertaining semi final I was hoping for..

  • Jesus... Even I'm bored.

  • 3 charge downs and a dropped ball under no pressure in a single phase of play - just about sums it up. best part of the game so far was Shane Williams assertion that Jake ball could get Faf de Klerk stuck in his beard

  • Faf looks like a cheeky bugger

  • He is, seen him at Sale a couple of times, stirs shit up then just grins at the wound up player, cracking no. 9 though.

  • Hoovering done, looks like I’ve missed half an hour of free flowing rugby with tries aplenty

  • 2 mins ago. Didn't miss much. We're in the same place we were earlier.

  • Nope, shit box kick followed by keystone cops attempt to secure the ball by both sides

  • Genuinely surprised by that. Pretty dull game.

  • Well the semifinal line ups were generous to Wales and sa. England will flatten SA next week unless they improve drastically across the whole performance

  • Can’t add much. Was extremely dull

  • So reverse hex and feigning anxiety means that as an England fan I should say "I'm really worried" "South Africa haven't showed their hand" "Their physicality could crush us" etc etc but quite frankly on the recent evidence I've seen England's all-round game especially the mobility of their pack running in the centre channels could absolutely blow South Africa away. There you go I've said it, England by 18-25

  • SA look like they’re coached by Tony Pulis. Dull, attritional play designed to nullify the opponents and just get the job done. On reflection I’d rather Wales had won so at least the Final would be between two teams who actually play a more flowing game. It’ll be an interesting game, but as long as England don’t rise to SA’s chief tactic of forcing their opponents into conceding numerous penalties then they should be able to hit them hard from the start and win reasonably comfortably.

  • Except wales is also dull...
Hope SA does pull it out the bag.

    Go Bokke

  • On what evidence do Wales play a more flowing game? Since Anscombe got injured and it was clear Biggar was going to start Wales have reeled their game right in. I think the big problem for them has been the absence of Jamie Roberts - Parks will never make the crash ball yards you need if you're going to play 1-out grinding rugby.

But, I do feel sorry for Wales. Again, they enter world cup knock-outs with so many missing players. If they had Anscombe, Navidi, Hill, Williams, Falatau, North etc fit for that match you'd fancy them to have won by more than a score. The fact that England have somehow kept everyone fit looks like incredible squad-management and/or luck.
