I hate those things. I don't want extra weird shit between the clamp that's potentially holding my face off the road. I do like the out-front Garmin/SRAM/Zipp/K-Edge mounts that go onto bars next to the stem positioning the unit in the same place as the faceplate mounts.
Unless you meant steerer cap mount, in which case, I guess they'd be ok, but the further forward you can put the unit, the less you have to drop your head to look at it.
