I wear a soft shell with pit zips in that situation. Warm but good thermal regulation with zips.
Primaloft gold will be too much if cycling in anything less that 5deg. Unless it's like 40g/m2 stuff.
Polartec alpha could be nice. Montane would be a good should, cheap but decent. I looked at the ember jacket the other day thinking it could be nice.
