That might've happened, but they're used wheels and were holding air originally, though with sealant. So, perhaps removing sealant just exposed a poor valve seat? Anyway, I've got work to do but I'll try later to re-tape or maybe jizz around the valve as a temp fix until I get a new valve. Actually, I have some super long valves from the first TL wheel I never got to ride so I could see if they work any better.

Got it seated again (who needs a gym?!) and threw some water at the valve. Still leaking after cleaning up valve. Pulled and pushed valve around and leak changes with valve moment so I reckon the valve is the issue or the tape at the valve. I'll probably try re-taping it first (what tape width for WTB i23?) and then add jizz and then replace the valve if none of that shit works.
