Cat found by the canal near Haggerston/Kingsland road.
Dark tabby colour. Wearing two collars, one light blue and one with a blue tartan design.
PM for details.
seems to be quite the neighbourhood for finding cats. what made you think he was lost?

well, the cat is not doing to well. not sure what qualifies a cat as 'lost' but it's not going to make it home on foot so someone might be missing it.

good work for helping him. shoot me a pm if you need help putting up posters in the neighbourhood

Higg's goes for the snip Thursday, I already feel guilty.

if you can take it to a local vet may have a microcip then the owners can be called

def take it to the vet to have the micro chip checked. There is also a cat rescue place that is really good for dealing with this kind of thing. Is the cat injured? has it drank any water or eaten food?
check the collars for a tag or a little thing that holds a note. or sometimes the back of the collar has the owners phone number or info.
can you post a pic. -

Thanks for tip about vet and chip. I brought it to a vet in Dalston Lane who told me it didn't have one.
Anyhow, cat was already stone cold dead when I found it this morning. Most presumably hit by a car then crawled into where I work to die in peace.
Vet will dispose of the remains. Case closed I'm afraid. I'm not going to post a pic.

thats sad. no need to see a pic.
someone will miss the little guy. 2 collars def has an owner. You should put up some posters to let them know so they dont search for it forever. I dont understand why someone would put on 2 collars and a phone number. you would think most cats are microchipped when they are fixed. -

I've now found a family of wild cats living in an abandoned factory. I've been feeding them on and off and I've seen other people doing the same. Any advice on how to rescue them? I don't want some RSPCA guy giving them all a lethal injection

if they've got food, a roof above their heads and seem relatively happy why " rescue them "
hell if i were a bit more feral i'd love to live in a disused factory with people giving me food -

the place is falling down and is sure to be redeveloped soon, Don't know where they will go

post pictures of them in the kittens thread
you'll have 20 people offering you £20 a pop for them no problems ! -

Damn 9 years has flown since we found the big man. He died yesterday from a seizure probably caused by kidney failure after he got blocked and couldn’t wee. He moved with us from Haggerston to De Beauvoir town, then up to Harringay and finally to the wilds of northern Sweden. What a guy, he always stayed a bit feral and no one could stroke him but he demanded his own seat at dinner parties and would just sit there with the group.
RIP stunning bravefoot ❤️

Right now he is sitting in my flat, what do I do with him?
Sounds like you gave him a lot! Amazing.
RIP fella, sounds like you had a great life despite a rough start.

Nice story. Missed this 9 years ago.

Aww.... 9 is no age for a cat but it’s the quality, not quantity, that counts. And it sounds like he had a fine time with you.
RIP big fella. -

Thanks. Yes 9 years is far too short. I’ve been consumed by grief and guilt all week tbh. He was a housecat because we always lived in flats but we’re moving to a house with a big garden in a month. Poor guy, at least had a life full of love.

TWO collars, you say?
Shit, better go home and get another shirt...
