What's happened to @boristrump? Is he too busy being PM?

Just heard that Johnson called Corbyn an IRA supporter in parliament today. I don't even know where to begin.
What I will say is this. At the time that Corbyn was openly talking to IRA and Sinn Fein members to nurture a dialogue, Thatcher was doing the same but in secret. This is established fact now. For a member of the conservative party to call a member of the opposition a terrorist supporter requires some very selective interpretation of the facts relating to that period in British history.
Corbyn supports the IRA is in the same classification as the Soros conspiracy theory that Mogg puked out into parliament a few weeks ago. Far right dog whistling.

Not only that but within the documentary on the BBC at the moment called a look at the troubles there's some hefty accusations of state knowledge and information passing of republican info onto unionist terrorists. (Episode 5)

If you fancied a deep dive into the worst of British conduct during the troubles, you just have to read about Stakeknife.
British Spy, allegedly involved in 50 or more murders.

Didn't realise this. Apparently we even deliberately gave wrong names to the IRA to put them off Stakeknife's scent. These people ended up dead.
I suppose the argument is that he probably saved more lives than he cost, but even so.

Yeah he was part of the focus of episode 5.

Well, over the 1000 pages ....

Its amazing how much has changed in the last 15 years or so. Stakeknife was a hotly disputed conspiracy theory the first time I heard of him. Now he's officially acknowledged to have existed and is in documentaries.

I wonder, as this shit is still goin down; will Bercow actually resign on the 31st ? Might he find some way to wriggle out and stay, for some reason ? I do think he quite likes the spot light.
-
• #25020
He could ask for an extension, send an unsigned letter to Johnson and Mogg.
-
• #25021
Did he say he was going to resign or die in a ditch. If not, I don't think his resignation offer was really valid.

So. Queen's Speech to be voted down, followed by another election call - probably to be turned down?
Chaos under Ed Milliband please.

Nigel Evans was having a little whinge about Bercow on Radio 4 just now, calling him partisan and brimming with glee about the prospect of someone else becoming speaker, so I was wondering how they choose one:
Candidates must be nominated by at least twelve members, of whom at least three must be of a different party from the candidate. Each member may nominate no more than one candidate. The House then votes by secret ballot; an absolute majority (i.e. more than 50% of the votes cast) is required for victory. If no candidate wins a majority, then the individual with the fewest votes is eliminated, as are any other candidates who receive less than 5% of the votes cast. The House continues to vote, for several rounds if necessary, until one member receives the requisite majority. Then, the House votes on a formal motion to appoint the member in question to the Speakership. (In the unlikely event that this motion fails, the House must hold a fresh series of ballots on all of the nominees.)
Given Bercow is resigning on the 31st seems likely remainers are going to have the power to pick a speaker of their choosing? (Get fucked Nigel.) Or is there a delay between resignation of speaker and election of a new one that would push it past recess for GE?

To be fair, I think the same thing every time I see Mark Francois on tv.
a simple way might be able to work out which people have used the @WillMelling function
