I’m sporting a little Lotus chubby.

I can’t get my head around how nimble the little blue one was. All the bollocks about the sublime handling and the steering all seemed to fit, even from the short amount of time I had.
That is the amazing part of driving some cars, they just feel right and easy to drive. Or make you in to a driving god. ;)
So you had a good day then. Am jealous.

What chassis has it got? What about the rear driveshafts? Wonder how much difference there is in reality and how much is in the head.

I'm back again, busy sabatical gone for a career change after 32 years service and last 24 at BMW I am off to TFL to fix trains, on my car front the E30 335i is booked in for a new six branch in December and a respray in January.
I had planned a respray this year but back in May I was rear ended and shunted in to the car in front, Luckily my Nextbase dash cam proved my innocence and they paid out.
As luck would have it a friend spotted another Touring on Ebay so I now have a little 318i to smoke around in while the other one is repaired.
I call it 'The TYT' :)

I also have an E30 318i, but the 4-door sedan. Would have loved to have a touring, they are my favorite car! Definitely have to find bbs basket rim for it though, I have the basic steel rims, this would be a nice addition.
EDIT: what size are yours? 15"? -

See that the Bloodhound SSC project is back on, next test is to get it up to 500mph, but here's a little factoid I've just learned; the jet engine needs so much fuel that it's using a 560bhp Jag V8 as a fuel pump!

Will be replaced with a more modern leccy pump for the final run

Yeap it's insane. Chris Harris did a great video a few years back on the engineering side of things as well as a run in Andy Green's acrobatics plane to give an idea of the forces your body is under during a supersonic run. Its well worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Yes standard 15", got lucky with the set on my 335i, six years ago, set of five on Ebay £125 then got them refurbed at Lepsons through work at £30 a rim

The set on the 318i need a refurb and centre caps. -

Still find it weird that those rims and caps, a few years before weren't worth more than scrap value.

Supercharged 5.0 xkr engine, before it was a cosworth 2.4 f1 engine.
The engine drives a pump that provides the rocket with fuel (9 gallons? a second or something like that)
EDIT : https://www.bloodhoundlsr.com/ for all the details as they are in South Africa NOW!!!!

Should have bought one a few years ago when they were cheap. ;) Same as the E30 saloon.

There’s heaps of room. Headroom would limit me using a helmet in a FHC.
There’s no handbrake stabbing you in the thigh, so it actually feels roomier than a b.
You can butcher the seat to get a bit more leg room, too.
