  • :-) deer bone is used to remove creases from cordovan shoes. This is a new journey for me so I was surprised to hear this but it does indeed work... really cool. I believe it’s because it’s a relatively fatty bone, or something like that, and the fat soaks into the cordovan and helps reduce the appearance of creases.

    Turns out cordovan needs quite a lot of maintenance....

  • It doesn’t crease ime, but you get cool Michelin man rolls. I would use products sparingly and just use a horse hair brush and the bone. You might get water spots in the rain and they can be very difficult to remove, some people suggest going over the whole boot with a damp cloth to even them up.
