Look like brake pivot nuts.

I've had a bike shed from these folks for the past 10 years. It's been excellent;

They are quite expensive, but the quality is superb and it's been faultless since I bought it.

How do you apply helicopter tape without it going all crinkly. My best efforts are for naught
I previously used a zefal kit and it was much thicker and easier to apply. Should I just stick (ha ha) to that

Warm everything with a hair dryer.

It looks like one but isn’t. They’re from a couple of nice chromed steel and leather chairs I’ve got, but I’m 4 bolts short. I’m going to try a brake nut tomorrow actually as it might work. Just kind of annoyed me I couldn’t work out what they’d be called.

If it's like the invisframe stuff, spray the surface with soapy water, allowing you to position the tape, then squeegee the water out for the tape to stick

if you say it’s £££, then it’s £££.
Your idea of £££ might not be the same as mine
Also a totally unnecessary impact on the environment.
It's £££ in order not to have a serious environmental impact.
FWIW, http://www.ashfordchroming.com/ make a point of drawing attention to their BMX work. It looks like they have a £95 minimum order, which for a properly organised job looks fair considering what I pay on the basis of "regular customer, cash through the goods entrance" for anodising.

Do Shimano 'Freeza' disc rotors or disc pads make any appreciable difference for road use? The ones with cooling fins.

Take it to Clerkenwell Screws if you have no luck.
Those guys have everything. -

Cheers - that and @Constable_Savage 's link have thrown up some possible leads. In the meantime I've just got to remember which is the safe chair to sit on :-)

Bench grinders, 8” any suggestions? Reviews of Dewalt ones are poor.
-
• #99397
We have one of their tool sheds, so far so good. Am sure an angle grinder would destroy it, but it keeps our insurance company happy and keeps chainsaws etc out of view.

I've inherited two of these without any instructions, which the Internet says are M2 fitness bands. My understanding is that to set the time they should be updated via phone app and bluetooth. Any one know what app? I've tried Droihealth and Yoho Sports as per a couple of YouTube videos, but no joy. Is this a pointless quest?

They tend to last a really long time, look for an older one at a garage sale.
Yea sorry the ‘hmm’ was more, it’s possible but I trust that if you say it’s £££, then it’s £££. Also a totally unnecessary impact on the environment.
But indeed, they’re on a chromed GT bmx, a small but significant upgrade.
They already have a shoddy quick ‘chrome’ rattlecanning. Maybe I’ll make do.
