I left it, so we'll see.
My logic is that on the models without gaitors they have a dirt shield, and the amount remaining is greater than that, so will protect it.
The other one had been lifted up as well. IDK if it was like that before I rode home, but I wondered if someone had been curious and fucked about with it. More likely is the combination of my bike cover and wind.
It's a fucking pain to replace tho especially when daylight and dry weather are limited...and that's before I negotiate the time out from my OH.
