More like 'meek-eh', but yeah, certainly closer than 'meesh'.

Whoops. Sorry. I dived into the thread at that point, made my ‘funny’ comment and then had the horror when I realised I was working from stale data and it had all evolved (and mine wasn’t that funny anyway).
Lesson learned for me: Hit refresh/post less/lurk more : ) -

delivery managers.
what exactly do you do?
-
• #12684
Manage the delivery of things.
-
• #12685
I googled the term excitedly, but stopped mid-fap at “...focused on delivering value against the product vision” because bleargh what is this the dot-com bubble alloveragain?

Aren't they what GDS call scrum masters?
-
• #12687
Indeed. It's a dodgy conflation of at least two roles into one that is very vulnerable to abuse by the person taking it on.

Fucking useless Schwable (whatever spelling, German for ‘made from cheese’) Marathons. Two flats in two weeks on a new tyre.
Also, fucking B&W rear light. Failed again. ‘sake, give me strength and suffice to say in the car today. Fucking hate cars also. -
• #12689
That's just bad luck, Marathons are generally OK but Marathon Plus will never puncture... In my experience, you also can't get anywhere quickly but who cares about that, am I right?
-
• #12690
^ this.
The only punctures I have ever had with a Marathon Plus was where the tyre abraded the inner tube.
Occasional pinch flats with Supremes and Racers but those are down to rider error (like... don’t expect a discarded N2O cartridge to have some ‘give’). -
• #12691
What are you doing to those poor marathons? They maybe slow and heavy but they're certainly not known for excessive puncturing.
-
• #12692
In fairness to all the hate, and for balance, the back luck seems to have been bought on by me forgetting to order the ‘Plus’ versions.
These have been bulletproof in the past (10k+ miles and not a single flat on a pair) and I’ve just purchased a new pair of those.
I know I’m fat and the lanes here are shot with flinty shit, my tyres lead a hard life. Sorry Schwable :( -

Puncture now you bastard...

You'll have to get them on your rims first...
-
• #12695
Yep. Had abraded tubes in Marathons too. Also had the tyre casing fall apart at the bead.

Blur - awful novelty band.
Everything about postmodernism that Pulp got right, Blur got wrong.

Fucking ebay morons.
First a winning bidder (zero feedback surprise surprise) prompted after 48 hours, who replies they can only pay at the end of the month.
Then another who thinks that asking for 10% below recent sold prices is ‘too high’ because they are buying for their collection and must ‘spend as little as possible’.
Fuck offffff.

Light bulbs.
Just moved in to a new place and every bulb has a different fitting or wattage.
And oh, dear lord, how on earth are you supposed to know what to replace them with? Cool, warm, tungsten, LED + loads more techy acronyms etc I don't understand. And these low energy wattage equivalents, what a joke. I have just bought one that is supposed to be a replacement for a 40w in a desk lamp. It's hard to look at the bulb from the other side of the room but you can barely read by it when sat beside it. What strange witchcraft binds us so? -
