agreed, it's not pretty, but there are many uglier bikes than this!

mudguard seems a bit of a silly addition - is the short headtube to allow for a suspension fork?

Mudguard allow you to strap a dry bag on it, the fork also allow a small rack for bigger dry bag.

And yes suspension corrected.
